With a dichroic reflector some of the yellow light and heat exit the back of the reflector, where an aluminum reflector projects all light and most heat forward. Both are technically a warm white light, but the aluminum and dichroic do not look the same. If you install an aluminum reflector lamp in a group of dichroic lamps you would say the aluminum lamp looks yellow. If you install a dichroic lamp in a group of aluminum lamps you would say the dichroic looks blue or pink.
