Special Note: This lamp is known as a butt seal wire terminal lamp. A butt seal wire terminal is considered a sub-assembly which requires a base to cover and protect the wire terminals, glass to metal seals, and glass tip. Without this base there is no performance guarantee for this lamp type. To use this lamp and minimize the risk of damage please do the following:

1. Do not put strain on the wire terminals or bend them sharply where they emerge from the glass since these can cause breakage of the wire terminals or rupture of the glass-metal seals. Any bending of the wire terminals should not be gloser to the glass than 1/8".

2. Avoid soldering within 1/8" of the glass seal since the heat of soldering could cause a leak in the seal.

3. Take care, in mounting hte lamp in equipment, that the glass tip is protected against breakage.
